Adventure Summary: 12/04/10

The players rested after their fight with the Battlebriar and tomb spiders. They then went forth to a large stately building, which appeared to have at one time housed government officials, and provided an area for security and government of the city itself.

Blocking entrance to the building was a magical trap that the intrepid magic-users of the party identified as a nasty Anti-Life shell a ritual of devious origin. Kalindor successfully dispelled the trap which activated two stone Constructs set to guard the entrance should the trap fail. The battle was finally won and the group proceeded inside. 

The party explored the ruins, which appeared in markedly better shape than the rest of the rest of city. They discovered statues embedded with precious stones, and also took a young adult Red Dragon trophy for later decoration. They also discovered a scrying pool that offered views of different parts of the city at a glance. They found a couple were "offline" and deduced that they were part of the sub-levels of the government building.

Valiant found the entrance to below, and the party descended, eventually hearing the anguished cries of Antaris's brother Calanion being tortured and interrogated.

The party attempted to surprise the interrogation, and almost succeeded, but was noticed by one of the guards overseeing the torture. A nasty fight ensued as Karvok Gatesmasher and other minions of the trickster Gnome that was torturing Cal fought the adventurers, buying time for the Gnome to shield his escape from the group and make off with Cal. 

To their delight, the party vanquished Karvok and the Helmed Horrors that aided the Gnome. They now are recuperating from their hard-fought battle, with many thanks to the group's own Gnome, Gnorm, providing a significant healing effort.

The party now seeks to continue the pursuit of Calanion, and also uncover more about the ancient city, and it's secrets. 
 

Adventure Summary: 10/09/10

The party maneuvered along the wall searching for a entrance to the ancient city. Antaris did some history checks to find out more about the city and it's place in the jungle. He recalled roughly a 1000 years ago, a joint venture by the Elves of Everska and the surrounding human kingdoms planned a project where they would start a settlement within the Nelanther Isles in an effort to civilize and stabilize the region.

Adventure Summary: 09/06/10:

January 17, 2011

The party exited the entrance to the tunnel and investigated the nearby slope to see if there were alternative means to assaulting the bandit fortress. Kiva discovered a depression within the slope, which hid an entrance set in the rock and dirt . This magical door had concentric circles of symbols needing to be set within the proper order to unlock the door and gain entry.

Adventure Summary: 07/10/10:

Taking an extended rest in their tower before continuing onward the party traveled along the Trade Way to the base of the Starspire foothills. There, they came across a Trade Way camp allowing travelers to rest and stable their horses for a small fee.

Adventure Summary 07/03/10:

The adventurers spent time finishing up their respective tasks in the capital city of Zazesspur. Antaris finished smelting his gold ore, went shopping, and rendezvoused with the rest of the group. Gnorm, Seth, and Elmorra hit a dead end with tracking the thief that rufied Antaris and stole his gold. Kiva and Kalindor finished shopping and the entire party met in one of the city's marketplaces.

Adventure Summary 02/20/10:

January 17, 2011

The party exited the dwarf mine ruins meeting up with a party of dwarves dispatched to investigate the issue within the mines. Kalindor traded with one of the dwarfs to acquire a flintlock pistol with some shot and powder. The party had heard of such things but had yet to seem them in the flesh.

The party entered the auditorium to confront the two elven brothers, Mirdanion Henathon and Taldonion Henathon.These two had sought to harness the power of a Lich without incurring the curse of becoming an undead being. Experimenting with portals into the Plane of Shadow, the brothers fell under the power of a cursed evil plague that was also summarily unleashed upon Adron Academy and trapping them in the Plane of Shadow for several decades.

he party completed the battle in the study hall with the two shadow demons, and then took a well earned extended rest in the hall to re-charge their powers.

Adventure Summary 01/23/10:

The party pressed forward after fighting the second group of zombies and exited the laboratory into a long and darkly lit hallway. They chose to go left into the hallway and discovered a partially buried dwarf with some bags of treasure and an enchanted bag that held mage equipment and was enchanted to open only for a set command word. Callindor took ownership of the bag and figured out how to get to expose its contents.

Adventure Summary 01/09/10:

The party continued their advance into the dwarven mine, after defeating the dwarf zombies/hounds in the library and mopping up from the encounter. They continued past the library into a short hallway, in which Antaris went forth to check for traps and other impediments.
