Continuing the battle from previous session, the players engaged in a hard fought struggle against various undead opponents as they tried to survive in the city of buried Ingwhich, now overrun with vampires, ghouls, zombies, and constructs crafted from the corpses of elves.

The party fought valiantly, dispatching several of the vampires, and a gargoyle, before being faced with new threats. Vox, Kiva, and Kalindor, upon a higher perch than their comrades noticed a disturbing greenish necrotic glow that appeared to light up the entire cavern as if an evil sun was rising. Beneath the floating figure scrambled 100s of undead as they surged forward in the light of a lantern which the vampiric looking elf held aloft.

The situation grew desperate, and it seemed when all would be lost, a portal appeared in the street and a wizard, one Robertac of Zazesspur, stepped through and came to the party's aid.

Retreating through the gate, the party thankfully appeared near the Trade Way road, just north outside the city of Zaz. The party relished the fresh cool spring air and sunshine and Robertac and Turu Xifi prepared to escort them back to the city.

On their way back, a small group of goblin bandits attempted to waylay the party, Valiant dispatched all of them with an intimidating stance causing the gobby's to route. Vox chased down one unfortunate bastard and disemboweled the filthy creature from stern to neck.

Coming back into the city,  Robertac brought the hero's to his home and as they cleaned and rested he told them some important events which had come to pass.

Turu, through various divination rituals, had been keeping tabs on the group but lost track of them when they went into the Feywild and Evermeet due to the tremendous amount of magical warding and protections. She kept trying, but gave up to rest for while and recover her energy when she was met with a harrowing vision of the group in deep trouble in an evil place. With the help of Robertac and his associates, they eventually managed to force a teleportation gate into the town of Ingwhich at a great cost of magical resources, and provide a way home for the party.

Now safe, Robertac gravely informs Antaris that his brother, Calanion, unfortunately has been found dead. A shapeshifting aberrant creature known as a Malaugrym assumed his form and in the service of the Black Circle, the Malaugrym absconded with the Orb as well the Body of Pelor stolen from Lathoron from the Feywild.

While in town, Gnorm investigates the attack on the temple to Garl Glittergold, and discovers that the Holy Symbol containing the map to the Blood of Pelor (the ruby), is also missing and Black Circle agents are to blame.

Robertac tells the party the Malaugrym sent them on a fool's errand to cleanse the lighthouse in an attempt to dispatch them to their death. As of right now, the only ones with knowledge that the group survived is Antaris's noble house, who have given him direction to avenge the death of his brother.

Valiant is informed by Phillip and Valen that a situation is brewing in the mountains near Harrowdale (New Velar), and the discovery of the portal to Evermeet. Apparently, though wizards have been working to cleanse the portal twisted by the spellplague, it has been a difficult effort, and unfortunately a scouting party of Formorians happened to stumble through and a fierce fight ensued to drive them back through and seal it up. The wizards inform Valiant that the rip to the Shadowfell must be found within the portal and sealed before it can be made usable for travel to Evermeet.

Elmmorra also receives news of a brewing conflict with her shifter tribe of the Werewoods east of Baldur's Gate. Her presence, and the help of her friends, is requested at the earliest possible notice to help stave off potential war.

The group is currently resting and shopping in the city of Zaz, and also seeking to alter their appearance and disguise themselves so to hopefully throw off the trail of Black Circle spies and agents.
