The group made it to Evermeet and was brought to the The Queen's Blessing, a very cozy and comforting Inn located just outside the capital city of Leuthilspar.

The party was greeted and escorted by representatives from the various noble houses, and they were updated with tragic news both from the city of Zazesspur and the isle itself. In Zaz, the temple Gnorm visited was sacked and burnt, the looters making off with several artifacts and items, among them being the Holy Symbol Gnorm had procured from the Valley of Windbourne.

Secondly, in Belinthome, a strip of land far south of the main isle of Evermeet lies the town of Lathoron. Lathoron was, until recently, home to an ancient artifact that warded the city from attacks. Calanion, through his research, theorized that this artifact was part of the Staff the Black Circle seems intent upon recovering the lost pieces of. Unfortunately, several Watchers (highly trained guards of the city) were killed in the theft, and three Eladrin have been implicated but have summarily disappeared. One is a priest to the shrine of Faerinaal, one of the outsiders to the Court of Stars worshiped by the Eladrin named Gwenedheil, the other a Watcher named Erethon, and the last an aide to the town council, Antien.

After being briefed of the news and having a late lunch the group was invited to meet with a panel of Eladrin Sages for dinner. The arrived in the evening not allowed to carry weapons, armor, or extra-dimensional devices that could store such things to appear before the sages. The dinner included filling in the party on information that the Staff's rumored ability to call back heroes of the ages is actually a secondary affect, the primary purpose of which has been obscured through history through deliberate means.

The party also learned a little of the Black Circle, a group of evil mages headed by an Eladrin named Helminion Faradol. Some two hundred years old, the group is new by realms standards, but is a rising force for evil in the lands. The Circle is so far linked to the events at the valley of Windbourne, the destruction of the temple to Garl Glittergold in Zaz, the theft on Evermeet, and who knows what else!

After dinner, it was arranged that Antaris Anzul, could peruse the royal archives in search of information that may had been overlooked by the sages. On the way back from dinner, the group visited the archives and Antaris ran into an old university friend that granted them all access to the knowledge storehouse as a favor.

The party went to the deepest levels of the archives, spending some time searching for forgotten and hidden information. Elmmorra and Antaris happened to notice that a stylized pattern on one of the walls of the archive level something seemed out of place within it. It turned out to be incorrect placement of an event in Eladrin history, of which Antaris, with the help of Kalindor, corrected. Once fixed, the pattern became a magically generated time-line of Elven history chronicling important events, once it hit upon the corrected time-frame, a portal opened in the archives, all stepped through except Calanion, and the party was transported to a frigid snowy plane of existence, that seemed at an odd juxtaposition to other planes.

The group spent an hour so protecting themselves from the cold via endurance checks, they set up their Tower of Convenience and was able to extract backup armor, weapons, cold weather clothing, and other gear to go out and investigate.

Kalindor spent some time creating several Tensor's floating disks to carry the party over the snow. They headed for the tallest environmental feature they could see in the snow, a small peak with a plateau upon the top, and what appeared to be a cave entrance upon the side. Getting closer, the heroes encountered two Frosthorn Minotaurs, not native to this plane, but brought here as guards.

Kalindor chose a path of diplomacy and spoke with the creatures, learning that they were waiting for 2 Chosen to enter the peak. No members of the party were what they were waiting for, but after learning they were seeking to get back to the library, they let them through with a warning regarding a Guardian that awaited them upon the plateau and were they would find what they sought if they were worthy.

Until next time!
